Welcome to Eagle Class!
This is the Year 6 class page. Below, you will find useful documents and information relevant to Eagle Class.
We have a really exciting time ahead of us, as we embark on a year ahead with our first ever Year 6 class!
During the autumn term, our topic will be Fallen Fields, and we will be studying World War 1 and World War 2, including the events leading up to the wars, chronology and the countries involved. We will discover what it was like for different people during these times, for example, life on the Western Front during World War 1 as well as life for those at home. Aspects of World War 2 will include evacuation, rationing, roles of civilians, the Battle of Britain, the life and diary of Anne Frank, the Holocaust, D-Day landing and VE Day. As always, our topic will be taught in a cross-curricular approach, and we will explore our theme through literacy, history, geography, art, and design technology.
Please could pupils come to school dressed in their PE kits on the day that they have PE. This will normally be on a Monday. The only exception will be the weeks in which Eagle Class have forest school. This will be on the following dates: 20th Sept, 27th Sept, 4th Oct, 11th Oct, 18th Oct. On these weeks, PE will be on a Tuesday instead. Please see the separate whole school letter for details.
Mrs Perrier will teach Eagle Class every Monday, and Miss Burnett will be supporting our learning every day.
