Eagle Class

Welcome to Eagle Class!

On this page, you will find useful information about Year 6 and what we will be learning.

Summer term

This term, our topic is New Horizons, which links to our class text: Holes by Louis Sachar.

As well as being a basis for learning in literacy, we will be making links to some key elements in other areas of the curriculum, including geography, history, art, and design and technology.

We will explore the themes of friendship and family relationships, choices and consequences, and the importance of history in everyday life.  Our learning this term will also help to prepare pupils for their transition to secondary school.

In maths, we will revisit key mathematical concepts and extend pupils’ learning in statistics and geometry.  Pupils will learn to apply their skills to problem-solving and reasoning.

For more details about the Year 6 curriculum, please read our class newsletter.

PE will take place every Monday.  Pupils should come to school wearing their school PE kit on this day.

Mrs Perrier will teach Eagle Class every Monday, and Ms Burnett will be supporting our learning every day.

I am looking forward to a wonderful term ahead!
