Free School Meals Application
Free School Meals – Claim Your Entitlement
Any claim for free school meals is handled in confidence. Young people are not identifable and money is credited directly onto their refectory card on a daily bais. Free School Meals are available for any eligible child who attends school on a full-time basis. This includes nursery children who attend full days and also school sixth form students.
Parents/Carers should recognise that students who are eligible for free school meals also attract funding that suport their learning. This funding, known as Pupil Premium, can support the recruitment of additional teachers thereby reducing some class sizes or the purchase of additional resources that support students who may be slightly behind in their learning. It is important therefore that parents and carers make valid claims promptly.
Meals are not available for students in further education.
