Unicorn Class

Welcome to the Unicorn Class Page!

Here we are on World Book Day 2020! This is one of our favourite pictures together.

Hi! I am the Little Pig, my name is Mrs Meeson and I’m the Unicorn Class Teacher! I have taught at Aylesford Primary since it first opened in 2015 and I love teaching Reception! It is really exciting getting to know you and your families and to watch you grow and learn!  I have three daughters and one crazy dog. We love to take her on walks in the countryside and along the canal. I love to stop for a cup of coffee and a piece of cake!

Hello, I am the Big Bad Wolf and my name is Mrs Gately. I am the Learning Support Assistant in Unicorn Class, I am also a Pastoral Lead and Mental Health Champion. I have been working at Aylesford School since September 2017 and love being part of Unicorn Class. When I am not being magical at school, I enjoy making cards and playing cricket with my little family.

We also have some tiny friends for you to meet in September, they are our Stick Insects. They are called Dobby, Kreacher, Winky and Hokey, which are names of House Elves in Harry Potter (Mrs Gately is a bit of a Potter fan)!

We hope you enjoy our video tour of Unicorn Class, we are awaiting our Oscar nomination!

Home Learning

From week beginning 08.03.21, please follow the schedule on Oak National Academy if your child is isolating. In the event of the closure of a class bubble, we will provide you with a home learning timetable which will be available below.

YouSkip

We are taking part in the CSW YouSkip programme, running 7th-18th June.

There are 4 Flash Challenges which will promote whole school engagement.

Challenge 1: Video message from Miss Sewell to be posted on the school website.

Challenge 2: Videos and photos of the children skipping to be posted on school website.

Challenge 3: Parents to send in photos/videos of them skipping to share within school.

Challenge 4: The Big Skip! Whole school skipping challenge.

We would love for you to encourage your children to practise skipping at home, with the skipping ropes which were provided after lockdown. We are excited to participate in this interschool event and appreciate your support.

Many thanks and 'happy skipping!'
