In Reykjanes Peninsula, Iceland a volcano erupts leaving many people stranded. Tourists were evacuated from the Blue Lagoon and told to stay away for the foreseeable future. This is not the first time the volcano has erupted!

The year 7 residential trip is due to arrive back at school slightly earlier than originally planned tomorrow. Pupils will be back at 2.30pm. If this new collection time is inconvenient, please do not worry. Students will be kept at school until the original pick up time.

Today I learnt about the volcanic eruption that happened in Iceland. If this volcanic eruption reaches the Blue Lagoon it will be gone forever. This is Iceland's largest tourist attraction, the car park is already under lava. The lava has erupted out of a fissure in the earth.
