Our Year 5 staff team includes:

Mr Chalmers - 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Our classroom is upstairs, in Upper Key Stage 2, near our fabulous computing suite. 

Year 5 Curriculum

Autumn topic

This term, our topic will be ‘Revolting Romans’, where we will be exploring Roman Britain, with a focus on what life was like in Rome and during the Roman invasion. As always, we will be taking a cross-curricular approach to our learning and exploring our topic through Literacy, History, Geography, Art, DT and Science. In Year 5, there is a lot of new knowledge to learn and new skills to apply, although we know the children are ready for this challenge! We are eager to support and guide the class to achieve great success, but in return we do expect commitment from the children towards their learning; showing that they are always ready to learn.  

Homework in Giant Class is set on a Tuesday, to be handed in the following Tuesday. It is important that homework is completed and handed in on time and finished to the same high standards that we expect of work during school time.
